Il Concerto Accademico. Chamber Orchestra
Is a stable and independent chamber orchestra, founded in the year 2000, from a great stylistic homogeneousness resultant of its component parts, among which we can find various winners of international competitions, all maintaining a strong pedagogical and professional unity around the figure of the celebrated violinist and teacher Margherita Marseglia, who is the founder of the group.
The artisitic goal of this group, made up of a maximum number of 15 young instrumentalists, consists in transposing the principles of chamber music – personal delivery, mutual respect and a great flexibility - into the work of the orchestral group above a base of experience from each one of the musicians, who at the same time integrate other chamber groups which operate outside of the orchestra.
In spite of its short time in existence, IL CONCERTO ACCADEMICO has performed in such distinguished concert halls as the National Auditorium, the Auditorium of the Conde Duque, the House of America, the Casa Encendida (Houseof Fire) in Madrid and the Congress Centre in Murcia. The group has a broad programme of music with dedicated works, such as the version of “Salzillesca” for string orchestra by Manuel Moreno Buendía.
The group is committed to a long season covering most of the geography of Spain with performances, among others, once again in the National Auditorium of Madrid, in the Festival of Avamonte as well as the Festival of Lago de Constaza (Germany, Switzerland, Austria).
This is the first Spanish Orchestra which has recorded ‘The Four Seasons’ of Antonio Vivaldi, a CD which was released onto the Spanish market during Christmas 2003 and was edited under the RTVE label and, under the same label, are preparing a second CD for Christmas 2004.
